DPD Slovakia has begun using two all-electric, zero emission Voltia Maxi’s, becoming the first company in Slovakia to deploy the custom made urban delivery vehicle. DPD follows PostNL in the Netherlands in being among the first companies in Europe deploying the vehicle. This move is one of the steps in DPDs efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and achieve its sustainable development goals.
PostNL, the Dutch national postal and parcel delivery service joins DPD, TNT and Slovak Post by adding Voltia’s zero emission all-electric delivery vans to achieve its goal of completely decarbonizing its operations. After a successful pilot period, PostNL is now employing three Voltia zero emission vehicles; an all-electric 3,5 ton Citroen Jumper and two Nissan eNV200 Maxis.
Voltia has completed the handover of three brand new, custom built, L3H3 electric vans to Schachinger Logistik for use in their delivery operations.
